So, I'm cheering on the Flyers.... If I remember correctly, Lothar's probably doing the same for Colorado. Who do you guys think will make it to the final? So, yeah, pretty much this an excuse to say \"go Flyers!\"

Flames all the way. Someone from the NW division for sure - provided they don't beat the snot out of each other on the way their; only 4 points seperating 4 teams.

If you can, watch Colorado @ Calgary Friday night, and Calgary @ edmonton on saturday.

As long as the Stars dont win it, I'll be happy. They always choke in the post season anyway.

Lothar is a Colorado fan? That makes me sick...really, really sick. I didn't think self righteous pricks liked hockey.

On a side note, this playoff series could be one of the better ones in a long time. I hate Detroit, but I wouldn't mind seeing Ottawa kill them. You imagine Shanahan trying to duke it with McGrattan? Simon vs McGrattan?

My predictions, Flames vs Senators. Good Candian hockey.

well if the flames are as successful as they were last year, they'll go all the way.

Well, I would love to say the Avalanche will do it, they just have too many question marks. Detroit can't handle the physical Flames for 5 games, let alone 7. Who else can beat the Flames? San Jose? Vancouver? Nah...Colorado could give them a run but will most likely lose to Nashville in the first round.

Simon + Phaneuf + McCarty + Marchment + Iginla = Lord Stanley's jock.

Hockey tournament play is ending, not beginning! Cornell just lost to Wisconson in the second round of the NCAA Division 1's, so the season is over for me. They barely missed making the Frozen Four.

Cornell lost 1-0 in three OT's, and Wisconson was seeded #1. It was the second-longest game in tournament history. The Cornell and Wisconson goalies made 59 and 40 saves, respectively. And I missed watching it because I suck.

Sorry, I'm losing interest in Pro sports. Why watch a bunch of guys get paid to play a game when you can watch a bunch of guys get paid to both play a game _and_ go to college?

Well, two games into the first round, it looks like the Flyers are going to go down in a flaming heap. I'm liking the Devils, though. They are on an elevin game winning streak- I wouldn't be surprised if they make it to the finals. I think maybe my pick is Devils Flames for the final.

Montreal is surprising Carolina. Up 2-0 is a good start away from home. Senators have taken the lead 2-1 in their series with Tampa Bay.

Phili si going down. Detroit is in a bit of trouble.

Calgary will win their series.

I think it's safe to say that Detroit is in trouble. Obviously the old men can play the quick crappy regular season very well, but they can't handle the physical beatings in the playoffs. I think a Calgary / Colorado conference finals would be very, very good. Overall, good to see the refs letting the boys hit each other, they need to relax a little bit on the hooking but it's been good so far. Glad to see more Canadian teams in the playoffs, Canadian hockey (fighting) is much better than American (dump and run). Oh well, it's still early.

Monday night left me really pissed off. I mean, you play a double-overtime game one night in which Esche has an absolutely brilliant performance, and the next night, you get absolutely flattened. What the hell's going on here, guys? They'd better come out strong tonight if they have any hope of staying alive.

Wed. night was do or die for the Flyers, and they did. Tonight is pretty much the same. We'll see.

I predict a birdie on the 4th down for the win. Anyone wanna go with 5-1 odds?

I don't really care for the game. I would rather watch/play beach volley ball or other summer sports that involve warm water and sand (don't forget the bikinis too)

Meh, you can have your summer stuff. My pulse really gets pounding when the chilly days of fall roll around and the Zambonis roll out. :)

Oh man... my pulse was goin tonight. I had to stop watching for a bit. I was getting too excited. It's all tied up for the Flyers now- 2-2, headed for Buffalo.

I have to wonder...can any of the refs in this league actually call a good game? :P

I'm with you Snoopy; that was too intense. You couldn't even relax with ten seconds to go. Well, at least they got the job done. :)

Yeah, I feel like the Flyers are getting some bum calls. There was the penalty shot in game 4 the Buffalo, followed almost immediately by a very similar Buffalo penalty that was just called as a 2 min. minor. I didn't like the interference call today that turned into Buffalo's second goal- there isn't much a man can do when he's pushed into the goalie. At the same time, the Ref's are in a hard spot- if they don't make calls, they will get fired- and you can't call everything perfectly. What does piss me off is when the announcer's are weighted toward the other team. (in this case, Buffalo)

Jason Spezza had a goal taken away from him Saturday night vs Tamba Bay cause they called it goalie interference. They didn't call a penalty though. Funny thing is, if they would of reviewed it they would of seen he was trippied right after taking the shot which resulted in him sliding into the goalie.

Yeah, the flyers are gone, too. It's ok. I do want to see Buffalo in the next round. I want to see how the next team handles their speed.

Snoopy that next team is my Ottawa senators who pulverized Buffalo during the reagular season. They actually had a hard time with Phili.

Since we had all our regular guys back (including Martin Havlat, 6 goals in 5 playoff games) I tihnk we could beat the Sabres in 6.
