A slightly different compromise on that.
Put a small button/link on the main descentbb page that says "Click here for ads"

Anyone who feels the urge to contribute a few minutes of time can click on it, pull up the page with the banner ads, and click on those to send a little money to the dbb. When you don't feel like it, you don't see them and they don't annoy you.

HypeCouncil reserves the right to extend or terminate this campaign with or without cause at any time. HypeCouncil will compensate the website as referenced above, up to the point of cancellation. HypeCouncil is not responsible for the use of proceeds or merchandise received by the Advocate.
